Meet the host: Michelle Dawkins

Hello! I am Michelle Dawkins and I am from Kent Island, Maryland. I have two dogs - Troy, a Catahoula Leopard Dog. And Daisy, who is my wild and crazy Border Collie.

My passion for photography and especially dog photography began late 2019. I fell in love photographing dogs in action and in the water and took my education even further in 2020, learning from one of the best dog photographers in the world, Claudio Piccoli. After receiving my masters in dog photography, I started building my business and portfolio. My confidence in photography grew so much, that I began entering in prestigious photography competitions and received top awards for some of my latest work. (IPA, International Dog Photography Awards, and more) I have also been featured in multiple forms of the media, which is such an honor, because I started out as someone who just had a love for her dogs and a cell phone in hand a few years ago. (Orvis, NY Post, Daily Mail, Baytimes, Ect)

I am so excited to be teaming up with Claudio & Sara for this workshop. I can't wait to share my tips and special locations for working with dogs in the water!

Meet the co-host and dog trainer: Sara Brueske
